A) Water in the Desert: Thriving Not Just Surviving in Youth Ministry
Part 1: The People in the Desert
In this session we will identify the people God has placed in your tribe and
discuss some of the cultural trends impacting how we care for students and
volunteers.
Part 2: Streams in the Desert
In this session we will discover practical ways for youth workers to find
refreshment your soul while pouring out into the lives of others.
Part 3: Growth in the Desert
In this session we will explore how to create and tend “greenhouses of youth” in
growing spiritually in the desert, and how to shape the creation of the
environment and culture.

B) Belong Here: Creating a Space Where you Belong and So do “We”
Based on current belonging research, we will explore a few essential areas to help
youth experience belonging and connection within your group.

C) Culture Changers: Where to start is easier than you think. In this session, we
will be exploring the perspective of viewing culture as tangible: such as the act of
making a cake or telling a story. We will also explore how this lens can impact
change in our local church.

D) Herding Disciples– Understanding some of the sheep metaphors through the eyes of a shepherd- this session will be packed full of encouragement, challenge, and
practical tips for leading “sheepish” disciples.

E) Welcome to the Jungle of Hormones and Hyperactivity– In this session, we will
explore the secrets to the jungle of Preteen and Jr. Highers and how that impacts
their brains, playing games at youth group, and everything in between/

F) 3D Biblical Storytelling– Helping the Bible to come to life. In this session, we will
explore a few simple methods that will transform your teaching.

G) Youth Worker Basics– This session will be a sprint through the basics: from
getting students to show up, to fundraising, to getting the church excited and
much in between. Kitchen sink not included.
